Portrait commissions are available in the folowing media:

Do I need to pay in advance the full commission amount?

You don't have to pay the full amount before the portrait is started. However, the artists needs a 25% non-refundable deposit to be paid in advance. This amount will be deducted from the final amount.

What forms of payment are accepted?

The preferred payment is online by PayPal or eInterac bank transfer. However, if you would prefer to pay by cash (locals only), cheque, or money order, let the artist know.

If you are paying by PayPal or eInterac, you may ask the artist to send you an invoice for the amount due.

I am Canadian. Can I pay in Canadian dollars?

To comply with international sales, prices for commissions are in USD Dollars. If you are paying by PayPal, the exchange rate is calculated automatically by PayPal. For cheque, money order or cash payments, the current exchange rate from US to Canadian dollars is calculated with XE Currency Converter's Live Rates.

How long will it take for the portrait to be ready?

It will depend whether it's a drawing, a pastel or an oil painting, and on the size of the portrait. For drawings and pastel paintings, the wait time is about 2 weeks. For oil paintings, the wait time is anywhere between 2 weeks and 1 mounth, as oil paintings need to dry completely.

Can several pictures be combined into one group portrait?

Yes, in most of the cases they can be combined.

If the portrait will be a present to someone for a specific day, can I ask for a rush request?

Usually, yes. More often than not, your request will be completed sooner than the regular time. However, this depends on the artist's work load at the time. If you are considering the portrait as present for Christmas, a birthday, or Valentine's Day, you should order it at least a month in advance.

Will I be able to see the portrait before it is shipped?

Yes, when the portrait is nearly finished, the artist will email you a photo proof of the portrait.

Can I ask for changes to the portrait? How many times?

When you get the photo proof of the nearly finished portrait, you may ask for as many changes as you like, until the portrait is to your liking. The artist will try to comply with your requests if those changes are still possible to be made. However, in some cases, changes will not be possible unless the whole artwork is recreated.

Do I get a refund if I don't like the finished portrait?

If the artist made every attempt to make changes to the portrait and you still don't like it, you can get a refund from the full price your paid minus 25%, which will be retained by the artists for her time spent on the portrait. If you only paid the deposit fee, there will be no refund.
